Delivery prices on PickThisUp are on average 40-60% cheaper than regular ones transport companies because these are often journeys that are already being made. Many private individuals and (self-employed) courier companies supplement their own planning with extra transport via PickThisUp and / or combine a trip of several exercises. The price is therefore based on what we call “accompanying freight”.
This ensures the lowest price, but also requires some flexibility with it make an appointment. When creating the package, the applicant provides a collection address and delivery address. You can place a bid and ask for the contact details so that you can make the appointment yourself. If the collection situation is different from what the applicant has indicated, you have it right not to take the product with you. For example when the product is not or is on the ground floor (unless otherwise agreed in advance) or is significantly heavier or greater.
If you do not take the product with you for this reason and want to put it on compensation, you must call before you leave PickThisUp. Depending on the situation, you can then do up to half of the received agreed compensation as compensation.
If no one is present at the address at the agreed time and 15 minutes after that, you have the right to leave. You are required to call the contact person of the address at least twice (at no hearing).
