If you place a request for a quote to an address outside the Netherlands or Belgium, we do not guarantee that you will always receive 3 offers. But you can always place the quote request without obligation. Many couriers drive weekly or monthly to other European countries and are therefore often resolved.
If you have a crazy, large or very heavy order, we unfortunately cannot guarantee that it will be delivered. But with a network of +1000 courier and transport companies, you can certainly always try! For example, there are couriers with an extra large bus, truck or equipment to load heavy products.
PickThisUp handles the data you have entered on our website with care. All data is stored in our secure database and personal details such as address and contact details are not visible to couriers until their offer is accepted. In addition, we will never share or sell your data to third parties without permission.
The only data that PickThisUp shares between courier and client are the order details. This is done the moment an order is confirmed by means of payment.
If you want to unsubscribe, you can do so by logging into your account and going to "my profile" and then to "edit". Or you can send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will delete your account.

Transport prices on PickThisUp are on average 40-60% cheaper than regular transport companies because they are often journeys that are already being driven. Both (zzp) couriers and private individuals supplement their own planning with extra transport via PickThisUp and/or combine a journey of several assignments. This price is based on what we call “combination freight”.
This results in a lower price, but also requires some flexibility when making an appointment. The price is determined on the basis of the distance (whereby the first kilometers weigh more heavily than later kilometers), size, urgency and any other details (extra lifting aid, high-rise buildings without a lift, etc.). This price includes all surcharges (VAT, fee and insurance) and is based on collection and delivery at the front door within a maximum of 5 working days after payment. Faster and/or on a specific date is also possible, but then additional costs will be added.

You start on our homepage, fill in your details and place a request for a quote without obligation. Courier companies will then receive a notification. As soon as one of them has placed a bid, you will receive a notification (email and text message). You can then book it by paying via the site and the courier will schedule the ride.

Do you have multiple items? Then select the correct vehicle per item set. All your belongings will of course be delivered at once in one car or (moving) bus. But we use these different vehicles per item to estimate the volume, so that you can quickly calculate a price indication and only couriers with a suitable vehicle can respond.
Selecting a vehicle that is too small therefore does not give a lower price, couriers will then offer no or higher. When in doubt, we advise you to choose the larger size, then you are assured that it fits and it is the responsibility of the courier to deliver it correctly.
Yes, in step 2 of the application form you can choose from three types of services: urgent (collection and delivery within 24 hours), on a specific date or combination freight (appointment in consultation and within 3-5 days).
Couriers at PickThisUp are mostly (zzp) couriers and transport companies, but also private individuals. PickThisUp checks the registrations, screens them and guarantees your belongings. In the event of theft, misuse or (deliberate) damage, you are covered up to 500 euros (incl. VAT) or a maximum of €1000 including VAT if that option has been selected in advance)
Placing a quote request is without obligation and can be canceled at any time. After you have booked and confirmed a courier through payment via our website, you can cancel the order free of charge on working days up to 48 hours before the pick-up time. If you cancel within 24 to 48 hours before the pick-up, you will receive 75% of the amount back. You will receive 50% of the amount back within 24 hours. If delivery was scheduled on the same day, you will receive 25% of the amount back.
On working days, 75% of quote requests receive a response within 24 hours.
Courier companies do our best to place bids on as many quote requests as quickly as possible. It helps to describe the delivery as well as possible and/or add a photo. The more detailed the information about the transport, the better and cheaper the bids you will receive.
After receiving one or more offers you can accept or reject them. Always let the courier know via chat as soon as possible whether you are interested and/or whether you are still waiting for a response from another party, so that he can take this into account in his planning and prevent him from unexpectedly withdrawing his bid.
Note: Until a bid has been accepted, the courier can always withdraw his bid if his schedule changes. As long as his offer has not been accepted and confirmed by means of payment on our website, there is no delivery agreement between you and the courier.
After you have confirmed a courier through payment via the PickThisUp website, the contact details will become visible for both parties. These will be sent by email and can also be found by clicking on his/her profile picture and viewing his/her account.
Immediately after payment there is a possibility to download the (VAT) invoice. Have you paid for a delivery in the past and forgot to download the invoice? By logging in to www.pickthisup.nl and going to “Dashboard” and then to “Archive”, you can still download an invoice per transport order.
Via PickthisUp you can easily and cheaply have your Marktplaats purchase collected and delivered. But how do you arrange payment for the product itself? Marktplaats recently offers two services, Crossing Alignment and Payment Requests, with which you can pay the seller in a safe way. Does the seller not accept this? Then you can always contact your courier and ask him to pay.
If the collection situation is different than indicated in the request for quotation, the courier has the right to cancel the delivery and to claim compensation of up to 50% of the delivery costs or 75% if it was agreed that both collection and same day delivery. The remaining part - namely 50% or 25% - of the delivery costs will be refunded to you. The above can occur when, for example, the product is not on the ground floor (unless otherwise clearly communicated in advance) or is considerably heavier or larger. But before the courier leaves, he/she must first contact the client by telephone at least twice.
The couriers handle the items carefully and carefully to avoid receiving a bad rating and their profile rating dropping. But of course something can unexpectedly go wrong. But that's what we're here for, as soon as your quote request has been paid via the site, your belongings are insured against theft, loss or damage up to a value of € 500 (incl. VAT) as standard. It is also possible to insure your belongings for a higher amount. by selecting this option when creating your quote request.
If damage occurs to your belongings, please report this to us within 5 days of delivery at the latest by e-mailing email@example.com with proof of purchase and photos.
You don't have to do anything for that. After the courier has delivered the items, he/she will notify you of the delivery and you will receive an email confirmation to object and/or write a review within 5 days. If we do not receive a response, we will transfer the money to him/her after 5 days.
After you have confirmed a courier by means of payment via our site, you can cancel the order free of charge on working days up to 48 hours before the pick-up time. If you cancel within 24 to 48 hours before the pick-up, you will receive 75% of the amount back. Within 24 hours you will receive 50% of the amount back unless collection and delivery on the same day was scheduled, in which case you will receive 25% of the amount back.
After payment has been made, the courier is responsible for the delivery. If the courier has to cancel the delivery due to force majeure, you will receive a full refund. The courier will then (if necessary with the help of PickThisUp) help find an alternative.
If no one is at the address at the agreed time and 15 minutes after that, the courier has the right to leave again. The courier is obliged to call the contact person at the address at least twice (if there is no answer).
If the courier is unable to take or collect or deliver the product for this reason, he/she will receive 50% of the agreed fee as call-out costs. Unless collection and delivery were scheduled on the same day, in which case he/she will receive 75% of the amount and the remainder will be refunded to your account within a few working days.
If no one is at the delivery address at the agreed time and 15 minutes after that, the courier has the right to deliver the product to the neighbors or someone else nearby. Before doing this, the courier is obliged to call the contact person and the client at least twice (if there is no answer).
If the courier leaves the product without contacting the customer, the courier is fully responsible for any damage, theft or misappropriation of the product.
By logging into our site and going to archive in your account. You can then enter your business details as soon as you try to download the invoice.
Is your company not established in the Netherlands and are you not liable for VAT? Then you can indicate this when creating your account so that no VAT is charged.
Anyone who is 18 years or older and has a driver's license and vehicle can register as a courier with PickThisUp. PickThisUp checks the registration based on a copy of your driver's license, contact details and bank account number.
The client must at all times provide insight into what you have to transport. If you still do not trust it and do not have or do not have access to what you have to transport, you can still refuse the assignment.
Registering with PickThisUp is without obligation. You only enter into an obligation when you place a bid. As soon as your offer has been accepted and paid for by the client, you will receive an order confirmation by email.
There are two ways:
I) Add routes to your profile and receive automatic email notifications as soon as there is a quote request on/near one of your route(s) to which you can respond by placing a bid.
II) Log in to our site and check your dashboard to see which quote requests are still open, which you can then respond to by placing a bid.
After you have made an offer, the client has 48 hours to accept, reject or respond by chat message. If he does not respond within 48 hours, your offer will expire and his request for quotation will be automatically cancelled.
After a successful delivery you can complete the delivery via the "Delivery delivered" button. Then the customer will receive an email to object within 5 days. After this period, we will transfer the delivery fee to you by (ING) bank transfer on the following Wednesday.
When creating the order, the client states a collection address and delivery address. You can then place a bid when and for how much you want to do this and ask for additional info. The parties are free to mutually agree on an alternative collection address and/or delivery address.
First try to see if it is possible to agree an alternative date/time with the client. If this is not possible, you do have a delivery obligation and it is up to you to propose a good alternative solution. You can also ask us for help by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org

If you are unable to carry out the assignment for this reason, you can invoke compensation. Before you leave, you must contact the contact person and client by telephone at least twice. If there is no response, you can leave after 15 minutes, cancel the delivery and claim compensation of up to 50% of the delivery costs or 75% if it was agreed that both collection and delivery would take place on the same day.
If no one is at the address at the agreed time and 15 minutes after that, you have the right to leave. You are obliged to call the contact person of the address and the client at least twice (if there is no answer). If you cannot pick up the product for this reason, you will receive 50% of the agreed fee as call-out costs. Unless collection and delivery were scheduled on the same day, in which case you will receive 75% of the amount and the remainder will be refunded to the client within a few working days.
If no one is at the delivery address at the agreed time and 15 minutes after that, you have the right to deliver the product to the neighbors or someone else in the area. Before you do this, you are obliged to call the contact person at least twice (if there is no answer).
If you leave the product without contacting the customer or PickThisUp, you are responsible for any damage, theft or misappropriation of the product.
You can withdraw your bid until the order has been paid. After payment, there is a delivery agreement between the courier and the client and can only be canceled by mutual consent. If you are unable to carry out the transport due to force majeure, the order can be canceled in consultation with PickThisUp and/or PickThisUp will help you find an alternative solution. If an unexpected situation arises as a result of which you cannot deliver the order within 5 working days after the collection day, you must inform the client in good time.
No VAT is paid on transactions between private individuals. Do you have a courier company or other company and do you drive for business? Then you have to pay the VAT on this yourself. The price you offer includes VAT. We only claim the VAT on the PickThisUp service costs. After completing the assignment, the client receives two invoices; one from PickThisUp service costs and one with your company details on it.
